Nandini teaches all levels of our Belly Dance classes at the Charlottesville studio. As a young girl in the early 80′s, Nandidi started with ballet and then studied jazz at Kaye’s Studio in NYC. In the late 90′s developing a passion for movement she then tapped into belly dance. “I was lucky enough to study under the fabulous, yet, late Serena Wilson at Serena’s Studios NYC”. For over 3 years Nandidi has also been studying and teaching ballroom here at Shergold Studio. Nandini is a mother of one.

Our customer relations specialist. Stephanie first started her tenure at Shergold (and her dancing career) as an E-Fit student in January 2009 and quickly became addicted! She started taking social dance classes several months later and was thrilled to be asked to become part of the staff, as it gave her a legitimate reason to spend abnormally long amounts of time at the studio.

Dana has been dancing since age 6 and studied ballet, jazz, modern, and tap throughout school. Member of Swing Dancing club at Appalachian State University, and as an adult continued to study ballet for several years. “No matter what course I find myself in my life, it always brings me back to dancing. I decided to try Zumba at Shergold Studio and was instantly hooked. After two classes I decided to get my instructor certification. I’ve always dreamed of teaching some form of dance, so I’m thrilled to be teaching Zumba now.”

Jackie has been involved with dance communities in the Charlottesville area going on 4 years now. A member of the University of Virginia Dance Team and the Virginia Dance Company, she has been trained in almost every style of dance from jazz, lyrical, tap, ballet, pom, modern, and even dabbled in some cheerleading. Jackie added to her repertoire the exciting upbeat style of zumba and has loved everything about it. It’s the perfect way to workout, a dance party! Can’t wait to see you there!.

Ginger is an ACE Certified Fitness Equipment Expert with fifteen years of Fitness Consultant / Instructor Experience and a B.S. in Psychology Degree from Virginia Commonwealth University. “My studies emphasized Human Anatomy/ Physiology and Motivational Behavior. I was a Cheerleader, on the college level, for two years and Student Sports Medicine Trainer for three years”. Ginger was also an Artistic Roller Skater and Competitor for six years.
