It’s been awhile since I last exercised and I’m out of shape. I’m worried that I won’t be able to make it through a Zumba class.

The steps in Zumba can be easily tailored to suit your body and your abilities. By tweaking moves and adjusting your level of energy and exertion, you can modify your workout to an intensity and impact that works for you!

What’s so special about the Latin music, anyway? I thought that salsa was just something you ate.

Zumba does not use the conventional, synthesized, 32 count, monotonous beats of the fitness industry. Zumba uses real music – music that gives our classes passion, flavor and attitude! The music is the driving force of our class, not just a means to keep a beat.

At the studio, we incorporate many Latin rhythms into our Zumba classes including salsa, merengue, cha cha, cumbia, samba, reggaeton and bachata. We also add a little spice to class with hot styles of dance like hip hop and belly dance.Zumba4

I have two left feet and a lifelong fear of dance floors. I’m really nervous that I’m going to stumble through the entire hour.

Don’t worry – you do NOT need to be a dancer to Zumba! Absolutely no experience is necessary. The routines that we do are easy to follow, non-technical and FUN. Plus, there is no wrong way to Zumba! It is all about having a great time and moving the way that your body likes to move.

Songs are often repeated over a number of classes, so you will find that you pick up the routines the more often that you come to class.
